Machine Builder – Rockford

Machine Builder Individual will perform basic assembly tasks to produce assembled components, sub-assemblies, and in some cases completed machines. The Machine Builder will work to close machine tolerances and should be able to operate basic hand and power tools. They must have the ability to operate drill press, lathe, grinders, an dmills to modify and fit-up components. Will read and interpret detail prints and assembly layouts. Must have own set of hand tools. Location: Rockford, IL Hours/Shift: First Shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Pretty regular OT, working till 5pm and occasional 1/2 days on Saturday. Experience/Education: Must have HS Diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing experience. 5-10 years experience in machine tool or related industry. Requirements: Must be able to crouch, bend and move around a machine as it is built. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Will need to complete the entire application in English and engage in basic written English correspondence without assistance. Ideal candidate should be able to read prints, put together sub-assemblies off of a print, and be able to use prints to build as they are not doing the same build over and over again. Basic math skills. Must have closed toe/heel boots/shoes, long pants and shirt. (shop is very clean). Must have own hand tools. Great opportunities with a very busy Rockford manufacturing company.
